India's smartphone export is rapidly growing, and Apple has been a key player in this growth. In the 2024 calendar year, Apple exported iPhones worth ₹1 trillion from India. Thanks to the government's PLI scheme and the growing trend of premiumization, India is becoming a major smartphone manufacturing hub, competing with China. According to industry estimates, Apple exported iPhones worth over $12 billion in 2024, a 40% increase from 2023. Apple's domestic production has also increased by around 46% compared to the previous year. In the last financial year (2024), Cupertino-based tech giant Apple manufactured and assembled iPhones worth $14 billion in India, with exports exceeding $10 billion.
