Indore CP and Four Officers Awarded President's Medal
On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Central Government announced medals to honor police, fire, home guard, and other personnel for outstanding service. In Madhya Pradesh, Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh (ADG) and three other IPS officers along with one Inspector were awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service.

In addition, 17 officers and staff were awarded the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Notable names include Krishnaaveni Desavathu, Secretary & Inspector General, Home Department, and Manoj Kumar Rai, SP Khandwa.

Across India, 89 officers and staff received the President's Medal for Distinguished Service, and 664 personnel received the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. No one from Madhya Pradesh was awarded the Gallantry Medal this year.
