Indore to Develop India's First Future-Ready IT Integrated City

Indore, Madhya Pradesh is set to pave the way for tech-based urban development. After the development of the AI-IT City in Bhopal, Indore is now going to become the country’s first Future-Ready IT Integrated City. This ambitious project is expected to be announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in the upcoming district development committee meeting on December 14.

According to sources, this high-tech city will be developed along the Indore Super Corridor. It will include a state-of-the-art Integrated Control Command Center, where data from various areas of the city will be collected and analyzed on a regular basis.

The Chief Minister will also discuss several major projects during the meeting, including the Indore Metro, traffic improvement plans, CCTV projects, a mission for safer cities for women, a startup park, new ring roads, and bypass developments. Additionally, a review of ongoing projects in the city over the last two years, along with a development plan for the next two years, will be discussed.

Indore Metro’s Underground Section

The underground section of the Indore Metro between Khajrana and Bengali Chauraha will be developed over a span of 3.5 km, with an estimated cost of ₹700 crore. A report on the metro management will be presented to the Chief Minister on Sunday. It is also possible that decisions regarding the inclusion or removal of the Chhota Ganapati Station will be taken during the meeting.

Indore Metropolitan Region Plan

The draft plan for the Indore Metropolitan Region, covering an area of about 9989 square km, has been prepared and sent for Gazette publication. This plan includes Indore, along with the districts of Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas, and Shajapur, along with 1,756 villages. The Chief Minister will also discuss this plan in detail.
