JEE Advanced 2026 on 17 May: Admission to Top Engineering Institutes via JoSAA
After the release of JEE Main scorecards and cutoffs by the NTA, the path to admission in India’s premier engineering institutes is becoming clear. This year, the JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Roorkee.
Students who have cleared the cutoff can apply online between 23 April and 2 May. The exam, scheduled on 17 May in two shifts, will determine admission to seats across 23 IITs in India.
NIT Patna and Other Options
Students from Bihar with ranks between 20,000 and 30,000 are likely to secure desirable branches at NIT Patna, Raipur, and Silchar. Newly opened Triple IITs, such as Pune and Ranchi, are also good options.
Students with ranks from 30,000 to 60,000 can easily secure admission in North-East NITs (Sikkim and Manipur) and various government-aided institutions.
