JPC was formed for Waqf Board Amendment Bill, a committee of total 31 members was formed. A 31-member JPC has been formed for the Waqf Board Amendment Bill, out of which 21 members will be from Lok Sabha and 10 members will be from Rajya Sabha. The central government has sent the Waqf Amendment Bill to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. The committee has been given time to submit the report by the last day of the first week of the next session. The central government had introduced the Waqf Board Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. However, now it has been handed over to the JPC. A committee of 31 members of Lok Sabha has been formed in the joint committee constituted for this bill, out of which 21 members of Lok Sabha include Jagadambika Pal, Nishikant Dubey, Tejaswi Surya, Aparajita Sarangi, Sanjay Jaiswal, Dilip Saikia, Abhijit Gangopadhyay, DK Aruna, Gaurav Gogoi, Imran Masood, Mohammad Javed, Mohibullah, Kalyan Banerjee, A Raja, Krishna Alavaru, Dileshwar Kamat, Arvind Sawant, Suresh Gopinath, Naresh Ganpati, Arun Bharti and Asaduddin Owaisi.
These people were included from Rajya Sabha
Along with this, 10 members of Rajya Sabha included in the committee include Brijlal, Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Ghulam Ali, Dr. Radha Mohan Agarwal, Mohammad Nadeem Haque, Nasir Hussain, Vijay Sai Reddy, M. Mohammad Abdullah, Sanjay Singh and Dr. Virendra Hedge.
