Justice Vivek Rusia Assumes Charge as Acting Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court
Senior Judge Justice Vivek Rusia of the Madhya Pradesh High Court officially assumed charge as the Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) on Tuesday. He took over the responsibility following a notification issued by the President of India.
Justice Rusia will continue to serve as the Acting Chief Justice until the appointment of a permanent Chief Justice for the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
The appointment comes after Chief Justice Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva was elevated to the Supreme Court of India. Following his elevation, the Central Government appointed Justice Vivek Rusia as the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court.
Over Three Decades of Legal Experience
Justice Vivek Rusia brings nearly 34 years of legal experience to the position. He began his legal career on August 8, 1992, under the guidance of his father, Senior Advocate Late Prabhakar Rusia, and Senior Advocate Late P. Sadashivan Nair.
Throughout his distinguished legal career, he has contributed significantly to the judicial system and earned recognition for his expertise and commitment to justice.
Appointment as High Court Judge
Justice Vivek Rusia was appointed as a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on April 7, 2016. Since then, he has served in various judicial capacities and handled numerous important cases.
With his appointment as Acting Chief Justice, he assumes a key leadership role in the administration and functioning of the Madhya Pradesh High Court until a permanent Chief Justice is appointed.
