Kailash Jatav Appointed SC Commission Chairman, Ramlal Rautel for ST Commission

The names of the Chairpersons and members of the Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commissions have been announced.

Former MLA Kailash Jatav has been appointed as the Chairman of the Scheduled Caste Commission, while former MLA Ramlal Rautel has been appointed as the Chairman of the Scheduled Tribe Commission.

After the appointment of Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya as Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Finance Commission, the process of political appointments resumed from Thursday.

The state government has issued orders appointing five leaders to the SC and ST commissions, beginning with representatives from tribal and Dalit communities.

Among the long-pending political appointments, four former MLAs have been given positions. Dr. Kailash Jatav, a former MLA from Gotegaon seat in Narsinghpur district, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Scheduled Caste Commission.

Dr. Kailash Jatav is considered a prominent Dalit face of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh. He has also served as the State President of the party's Scheduled Caste Morcha.

He won the 2013 Assembly elections from the Gotegaon constituency, which is reserved for Scheduled Castes. Professionally, he is a doctor and is a resident of Jabalpur.
