• Bihar Introduces Mobile E-Voting: Bihar becomes the first state in India to implement a mobile-based e-voting system. This new technology will be used in municipal elections on June 28.
• 4-Day Test Matches Introduced: In the ICC 2027–29 World Test Championship, four-day Test matches will be introduced for smaller nations. Major teams like India, Australia, and England will continue with traditional five-day Tests.
• 1st Hockey India Masters Cup: The first-ever Hockey India Masters Cup began in Chennai. The tournament runs until June 27 and features former international and Olympic players. There are 12 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams participating.
• G7 Summit Concludes in Canada: The three-day G7 Summit was held in Alberta, Canada. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated as a guest nation leader. The G7 includes Canada, the USA, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, and Japan.
• Talli ki Vandanam Scheme Launched: The Andhra Pradesh government has launched the 'Talli ki Vandanam' scheme to support school children financially. Under this scheme, students from classes 1 to 12 will receive ₹15,000 annually.
• Smriti Mandhana Tops ICC Batting Rankings: Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has regained the No.1 spot in the ICC women's batting rankings. She is the only Indian player in the top 10 and has returned to the top position after 2019.
