- The Indian Women's Cricket Team has been nominated for the Laureus World Team of the Year Award. The nomination came after the team won the ICC World Cup. This is the first time a women's cricket team has been nominated in this category. Earlier, Vinesh Phogat, Neeraj Chopra, and Rishabh Pant were also pre-nominated for the Laureus Awards.
- The Ashmolean Museum of Oxford University, United Kingdom has returned a 16th-century bronze idol of Saint Tirumangai Alvar to India after 59 years. The idol will now be sent to the Shri Soundararaja Perumal Temple in Thadikombu, Tamil Nadu.
- Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru has received the Best Airport at Arrivals Award for the fourth consecutive time in the Airport Service Quality Awards. The award is given by Airports Council International based on passenger feedback.
- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will contest the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled on March 16 and will resign from the post of Chief Minister. Nitish Kumar has served as the Chief Minister of Bihar for nearly two decades and began his 10th term in November 2025.
- The Israel–Iran conflict has increased instability in West Asia, affecting trade and employment. Around 9.7 million Indians live in the region. India depends on West Asian countries for oil, gas, trade, and remittances.
