• At the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the statue of British architect Edwin Lutyens will be removed and replaced with a statue of C. Rajagopalachari (Rajaji). Lutyens designed the Rashtrapati Bhavan, while Rajaji was the first Indian head of state to reside there and the first and only Indian Governor-General of independent India.
• The country's first NAMO India Rapid Rail Transit System was inaugurated in Meerut. This project will feature India’s first metro and rapid rail running on the same station and track. NAMO India is the country's first high-speed regional rail service.
• The Ministry of Home Affairs has launched India's National Counter-Terrorism Policy, named "Prahaar". The policy reiterates zero tolerance towards terrorism and emphasizes strict action against intelligence gathering and prevention efforts.
• The Our Lady of Grace Cathedral in Vasai, Palghar district of Maharashtra has been awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation 2025. The historic church was built in 1574.
• The AI Impact Summit has adopted the New Delhi Declaration, with support from 89 countries and international organizations, including the USA, China, France, Australia, and the UK. The summit saw a participation of 500,000 individuals, which is more than the G20 summit held in 2023.
