Avani Lekhara successfully defended her women's 10m air rifle shooting SH1 title at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. With this, she became the first Indian woman to win two gold medals in the history of the Games. The Indian para shooter scored 249.7 in the final, setting a new Paralympic record and breaking the previous record of 249.6. She had set the previous record exactly three years ago in her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020.
