Prasoon Joshi Honored with Kishore Kumar Award in Khandwa
On October 14, 2024, the Madhya Pradesh Government honored renowned lyricist Prasoon Joshi with the prestigious National Kishore Kumar Award during a cultural ceremony held in Khandwa, the birthplace of the legendary Indian artist Kishore Kumar.
The award was presented as part of a tribute to Kishore Kumar’s multifaceted contributions to Indian cinema. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the event via video conference and recalled anecdotes from Kishore Kumar’s life, describing him as the "Priceless Gem of Madhya Pradesh."
Congratulating Prasoon Joshi, the Chief Minister praised him as a "magician of words," stating that his lyrics take listeners on a spiritual journey.
