Machhand-Asawar to Become Nagar Panchayat, Alampur College Renamed After Devi Ahilyabai
The government has announced that Machhand-Asawar will be granted the status of a Nagar Panchayat (urban local body). Additionally, Alampur College will be renamed in honor of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. This decision comes in response to public demand and to uphold cultural and historical values.
