Madhya Pradesh Emerges as a Leading State in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)
Madhya Pradesh has emerged as one of the leading states in the country in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the state government is committed to providing permanent housing to every needy family and has achieved remarkable success under the housing scheme.
According to the Chief Minister, more than 10 lakh houses have already been approved in the state, strengthening Madhya Pradesh’s position among the top-performing states in housing construction and beneficiary support under the scheme.
Top Position in Housing Grounding
Commissioner of the Urban Development and Housing Department, Mr. Sanket Bhondwe, informed that Madhya Pradesh has secured the first position in the country in terms of housing grounding under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
He stated that 98.04 percent of the approved houses in the state have already completed the grounding process, reflecting the efficiency and speed of implementation by the state authorities.
Commitment to Affordable Housing
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) aims to provide affordable and permanent housing to economically weaker sections and low-income families living in urban areas. Madhya Pradesh’s strong performance under the scheme highlights the government’s focus on inclusive urban development and improved living standards for citizens.
