Madhya Pradesh Introduces Major Changes in Government Recruitment Process
The Madhya Pradesh government is introducing significant reforms in the recruitment process for government jobs. Candidates will no longer need to appear for multiple preliminary examinations for different government recruitments.
Instead, only three eligibility tests will be conducted annually. Based on the marks obtained in these examinations, candidates will be considered eligible for various government jobs.
The state government has released the draft of the new recruitment rules, which are scheduled to come into effect from October 1, 2026. These new regulations will replace the existing rules implemented in 2013.
The government has also invited suggestions and objections from the general public regarding the draft rules until June 5, 2026.
Under the new provisions, except for the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC), recruitment for all other government posts will be conducted by the Employee Selection Board. No individual department will be allowed to conduct separate recruitment examinations.
According to the new system, the Employee Selection Board will organize eligibility tests for general, technical, and teacher recruitment categories.
Candidates securing the prescribed minimum marks in these examinations will be issued a scorecard, which can be used to apply for various government jobs.
One of the key highlights of the new recruitment system is that the scorecard will remain valid for two and a half years from the date of issuance.
