Madhya Pradesh to Become Global Wellness Hub, ₹1950 Crore Investment Proposals Received

On May 5, during the Spiritual and Wellness Summit held in Ujjain, the Madhya Pradesh government received nine investment proposals amounting to ₹1950 crore. The largest among them was ₹984 crore from the Bhandari Group. An MoU was also signed between the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Ahmedabad, and the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), ensuring technical and academic support to the Ujjain Medical Device Park. This park will be developed as a hub for testing and certification.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held one-on-one meetings with 13 investors from the wellness and hospitality sectors to understand their requirements. He mentioned that, so far, investment proposals worth ₹30 lakh crore have been received during regional conclaves and global investor summits, potentially creating 21.75 lakh job opportunities. The year 2025 has been declared as the "Year of Industry." Sector-wise summits have already been organized in Mandsaur, Narsinghpur, Indore, and Ujjain.

Inspired by Prime Minister Modi’s “Heal in India” and “Lifestyle” vision, Madhya Pradesh is being developed as a global innovation hub for wellness and lifestyle.

  • Suresh Singh Bhadauria - Amaltas Group - ₹400 crore
  • Rajul Bhargava - CHL Hospital Group - ₹200 crore
  • Dewang Kapadia - Latent Devcon - ₹100 crore
  • Yugansh Soni - Labham Group - ₹100 crore
  • Dr. Mrityunjay Swami - Shathayu Ayurveda - ₹75 crore
  • Sudeep Roy - Royal Orchid Hotel - ₹50 crore
  • Swami Chitasudhyan Tapasvi - Shantigir Ashram - ₹10 crore
  • Hiteshwar Singh Sisodia - Sunset Desert Camp - ₹10 crore

Additional Proposals and Interests

Parmarth Niketan of Rishikesh proposed to establish a center in Ujjain. Swami Chidanand Saraswati submitted a letter of intent to the state government. Shivinder Singh of Era Hospitality, Mukund Prasad from Leisure Hotels Group, Ashok Patel of Travelpack, Sharad Thadani of Mayfair Travels, and Sudhir M.V. of Jindal Naturocare Institute also expressed investment interest, although the amounts were not disclosed.

Representatives from Leisure Hotels, Shathayu Ayurveda, and Bhandari Group declared Madhya Pradesh a suitable destination for wellness-related investments. Panel discussions were held on wellness infrastructure, Simhastha-based medical tourism, employment generation, and skill development.

CM Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is fully prepared to lead India’s wellness mission and is eager to become the global engine for wellness development. He described the summit as a confluence of policy, investment, spirituality, and social welfare. He urged investors to come to Madhya Pradesh and become part of India's journey to becoming a global spiritual and wellness leader.
