Manu Bhaker, Neeraj Chopra, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Singh were awarded the Indian Sports Award (ISH) for their exceptional achievement in the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and other major sports and their unwavering dedication towards their respective sports. Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals in the 10m air pistol women's event and 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics this year, was awarded the Sportswoman of the Year award at the fifth edition of the Indian Sports Award held here. Manu Bhaskar said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the jury and the honour of Indian sports who honoured me with this. This award is not just mine, it is for my family, my coach and all those who supported me and believed in me in this journey." India's legendary javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra, who won silver medals at the Paris Olympics and the Diamond League in Brussels this year, was awarded the Sportsman of the Year. Harmanpreet Singh, captain of the Indian hockey team that won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, was awarded the Sportsman of the Year.
