दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची चोटी माउंट एवरेस्ट (Mount Everest) पर चढ़ाई करना बेहद ही मुश्किल काम है। इसे एक बार करने में ही लोगों को काफी मुश्किल होती है पर कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं जो यह कमाल एक से ज़्यादा बार कर चुके हैं। पर दुनिया में एक ऐसा भी शख्स है जो माउंट एवरेस्ट पर चढ़ने का रिकॉर्ड बना चुका है। इतना ही नहीं, आज इस शख्स ने माउंट एवरेस्ट पर चढ़ाई करने का अपना ही रिकॉर्ड तोड़ भी दिया। हम बात कर रहे हैं नेपाल (Nepal) के कामी रीता शेरपा (Kami Rita Sherpa) की।
नेपाल के 54 वर्षीय कामी रीता शेरपा ने 22 मई को 30वीं बार माउंट एवरेस्ट को फतह किया। कामी रीता ने आज स्थानीय समयानुसार सुबह 7 बजकर 49 मिनट पर 30वीं बार माउंट एवरेस्ट चोटी पर कदम रखा।
तोड़ा अपना ही रिकॉर्ड
कामी रीता ने आज माउंट एवरेस्ट की चढ़ाई करते हुए सबसे ज़्यादा बार माउंट एवरेस्ट फतह करने का अपना ही रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया है। माउंट एवरेस्ट पर सबसे ज़्यादा बार चढ़ाई करने का इससे पुराना रिकॉर्ड भी कामी रीता के ही नाम था। उसने आज से सिर्फ 10 दिन पहले 12 मई को 29वीं बार माउंट एवरेस्ट को फतह किया था। अब 22 मई को 30वीं बार माउंट एवरेस्ट की चढ़ाई करते हुए कामी रीता ने अपना ही रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया है। ऐसा करने पर कामी रीता को ढेरों बधाइयाँ मिल रही हैं।
दुनियाभर में किसी भी अन्य शेरपा/पर्वतारोही ने 30 बार माउंट एवरेस्ट की चढ़ाई नहीं की। ऐसे में कामी रीता ने ऐसा करते हुए इतिहास रच दिया है। कामी रीता को ‘एवरेस्ट मैन’ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
कब की थी माउंट एवरेस्ट फतह करने की शुरुआत?
कामी रीता ने 13 मई 1994 को पहली बार माउंट एवरेस्ट पर चढ़ाई की थी। रीता पिछले 30 साल से माउंट एवरेस्ट को फतह कर रहे हैं और दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची चोटी पर अपने देश का झंडा फहराने के साथ ही अपना खुद का भी नाम रोशन किया है।
दूसरी चोटियों को भी कर चुके हैं फतह
कामी रीता ने सिर्फ माउंट एवरेस्ट ही नहीं, बल्कि माउंट K2, चो ओयू, ल्होत्से और मनास्लू जैसी दूसरी चोटियों को भी फतह करने का कमाल किया है।
