Major Approvals by Madhya Pradesh Cabinet
Extension of Chief Minister Urban Cleanliness Mission Till FY 2028-29
The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has approved the continuation of the Chief Minister Urban Cleanliness Mission up to the financial year 2028-29. An estimated expenditure of ₹227.05 crores has been projected, which includes ₹167.74 crores from the state and ₹59.31 crores from municipal contributions over the next four years (2025–2029).
The funds will be utilized for:
- Desludging vehicles for septic tank waste transport
- Sewer line cleaning equipment
- Solid waste collection and transport vehicles
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) kits for sanitation workers
The program was initially launched on August 28, 2012, to unify all urban sanitation activities at the state level.
Approval for Construction of Working Women Hostels
The cabinet approved the construction of 26 working women hostels across 4 industrial areas with a total budget of ₹249.66 crores. Each hostel will have a capacity of 222 beds, totaling 5,572 beds. The hostels will be developed under MPIDC Ltd. with assistance from the Government of India’s "Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25" scheme.
Hostel locations include:
- Vikram Udyogpuri, Ujjain
- Pithampur Sector 1 & 2, Dhar
- Malampur-Ghirongi, Bhind
- Mandideep, Raisen
Facilities will include modern amenities, parking, food courts, entertainment and cultural spaces, day care for children, and subsidized meals and rent. Core infrastructure like common toilets, pantry, commercial shops, and recreational rooms will also be developed.
Revised Approval for Advait Lok Museum in Omkareshwar
The cabinet approved a revised cost of ₹2,195.54 crores for the construction of "Advait Lok" under the Ekatma Dham Project in Omkareshwar. The project includes:
- Advait Lok Museum
- Acharya Shankar International Advaita Vedanta Institute
- Advait Nilyam
- Project Information Center
- Shankar Setu (bridge)
- Abhay Ghat
Hospital Infrastructure Upgrades in Indore and Rewa
An administrative approval of ₹1,095 crores has been given for upgrading hospital and medical education infrastructure in Indore and Rewa.
- In Indore, ₹773.07 crores will be spent for a new hospital building, mini auditorium, nursing hostel, parking, and external development at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital under MGM Medical College.
- In Rewa, ₹321.94 crores will be spent for OPD block, maternity block, staff quarters, nursing college, hostels, and more at Shyam Shah Medical College.
