MP Cabinet to Approve Vrindavan Gram Yojana Today
Cabinet Meeting Scheduled on July 1
The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, will meet on July 1, 2025 to approve several key initiatives, including the Vrindavan Gram Yojana. This meeting follows a gap of nearly 15 days after the previous session was postponed due to a high-level security review chaired by Union Minister Amit Shah.
About the Vrindavan Gram Yojana
The Vrindavan Gram Yojana aims to promote organic farming and animal husbandry in rural Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme, villages with a population of at least 2,000 and more than 500 cattle will be selected. Each of the state’s 313 development blocks will develop one Vrindavan Gram.
The state government has allocated ₹100 crore in the 2025-26 budget for the implementation of this scheme. The goal is to increase rural income and encourage natural agricultural practices.
Implementation and Monitoring
The selection of villages will be done by collectors in consultation with the ministers in charge. District-level committees will monitor the execution of the projects.
Other Topics in the Cabinet Meeting
In addition to the Vrindavan Gram Yojana, the Cabinet will discuss key irrigation project proposals. CM Mohan Yadav will also brief ministers on the recent Chief Ministers' conference in Varanasi. Ministers will be instructed to stay vigilant during the monsoon and the upcoming religious festivals of Sawan and Bhadon to maintain law and order in their respective districts.
