MP High Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva Recommended for Supreme Court Judge

The Supreme Court Collegium, during its meeting held on May 27, 2026, recommended the elevation of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, as a judge of the Supreme Court of India.

The Collegium also recommended the appointment of Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, along with other senior judges, to the Supreme Court.

The list also includes Justice Chandrashekhar, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, and senior advocate V. Mohana from the Supreme Court.

Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva originally belongs to the Delhi High Court.

Justice Sheel Nagu began his legal career practicing in Jabalpur and later became a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court before being transferred.
