MP High Court Halts Recognition and Admissions for Paramedical Colleges

Bhopal, July 2025: In a significant interim order, the Madhya Pradesh High Court, through a special division bench of Justice Atul Sridharan and Justice Deepak Khot, has put a stay on the recognition and admission process for paramedical colleges in the state.

The court issued strong remarks, describing the entire recognition process as absurd and irrational. The matter concerns the approval and admissions for the academic sessions 2023–24 and 2024–25, during which over 150 paramedical colleges were granted recognition across the state.

After uncovering widespread fraud in nursing college approvals, the court has now taken a strict stance against similar irregularities in paramedical institutions.

The bench questioned, “How can recognition be granted in 2025 for academic sessions that have already passed?” The judges called the situation not only illogical but also laughable.

The matter will be heard next on July 24, alongside cases related to nursing college irregularities.
