MP Nursing Recruitment: Male Candidates Challenge 100% Female Reservation

The recruitment process for over 800 nursing officer positions in Madhya Pradesh government medical colleges has become controversial. Male candidates have approached the High Court challenging the 100% female reservation.

During the hearing, the Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court directly questioned the state government and the Employee Selection Board (ESB): “Why has the entire nursing officer recruitment been reserved only for women?”

Justice Vishal Ghagat of the single bench asked the government and ESB on what basis 100% reservation for women was provided for the nursing officer posts. The next hearing is scheduled for April 15.

Specifically, candidates including Santosh Kumar Lodhi have challenged the recently issued nursing officer recruitment advertisement in the High Court.
