MP Traders Welfare Board Formed – CM to Chair

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on 5 May, approved the formation of the MP Traders Welfare Board, modeled after the National Traders Welfare Board. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will serve as the chairman. The board will include 8 government departments, non-government members, and representatives at the district level. Political and social organization representatives will also be part of the board.

After the cabinet meeting, Minister Chetan Kashyap stated that an allocation of ₹2,442 crore has been approved for the Dalhan Self-Reliance Mission. Additionally, development works worth ₹38,555 crore for various departments were sanctioned. An electronic cluster is being established near Bhopal.

The CM also extended special thanks to PM Modi for BJP's historic success in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. During the cabinet meeting, celebrations included enjoying Jhalmuri. CM Yadav reported that 41 lakh metric tons of wheat have been procured, with ₹6,520 crore already paid, benefiting 14.7 lakh farmers.

Indore will host the International BRICS Conference from 9 to 13 June under the Agricultural Welfare Year program, with representatives from 26 countries participating.
