MPPSC Assistant Professor Interview 2024 Update

MPPSC Assistant Professor Interview 2024 Update

The wait for interviews for the MPPSC Assistant Professor recruitment is still ongoing. Interviews for several subjects are yet to be conducted.

No new interview schedule will be released until May. According to the commission, the remaining interviews are likely to begin in June. The delay is mainly due to a shortage of board members.

Recruitment Overview

The MPPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024 includes:

  • 1930 posts across 26 subjects
  • 80 posts for Librarian
  • 187 posts for Sports Officer

The written examination was conducted in 2025, and results have already been declared. Interviews have only been completed for subjects with very few vacancies, while major subjects are still pending.

Why the Delay?

The commission's schedule is fully occupied until May. Interviews for Food Safety Officers are currently ongoing and have been prioritized due to Supreme Court orders.

After that, interviews for Dental Surgeons (385 posts) will be conducted in May, involving around 425 candidates, which will take the entire month.

When Will Assistant Professor Interviews Be Held?

According to the commission, interviews for remaining Assistant Professor subjects will likely begin in June.

The interviews will be conducted in phases, starting with subjects having fewer vacancies and gradually moving towards subjects with more vacancies.

Subjects Likely to Face Longer Delays

Subjects with more than 100 vacancies are expected to face longer waiting periods:

  • Chemistry – 199 posts
  • Zoology – 187 posts
  • Physics – 186 posts
  • Mathematics – 177 posts
  • Economics – 130 posts
  • Political Science – 124 posts

Limited Board Members Slowing the Process

The commission consists of a Chairman and five members, but earlier only three members were available. Recently, one more member was appointed, making the total four. One position is still vacant.

Currently, only four interview boards are operational, conducting around 60–70 interviews per day. This slows down the overall process.

In comparison, other states—especially southern states—have 15 to 20 members, allowing faster recruitment processes. In Madhya Pradesh, limited staffing remains a key reason for delays.
