Mumbai-Pune Expressway Missing Link Project Inaugurated
On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, the long-awaited “Missing Link Project” on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway was officially inaugurated today.
The project was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Sunetra Pawar.
Built at a cost of approximately ₹6,695 crore, the project reduces the travel distance by 6 kilometers and saves nearly 30 minutes of travel time for commuters.
Designed to eliminate the dangerous curves of the Khandala Ghat section, the project features advanced tunnels and a grand cable-stayed bridge, making it a landmark in modern Indian engineering.
The tunnel section of the project has also gained recognition for its engineering excellence.
