Indian sports administrator Nita Ambani was unanimously re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from India in Paris. Nita got 100 percent votes in the voting held during the 142nd session of the IOC going on in Paris. After being re-elected as an IOC member, Nita said in a press release, 'I am very honored to be re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. I would like to thank President (Thomas) Bach and all my colleagues in the IOC for their faith and trust in me.'
Nita was first inducted into this prestigious body during the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games in 2016. She is the first Indian woman to join the IOC. Nita Ambani has been a part of the International Olympic Committee for the last eight years.
