संसद के दोनों सदनों से पास होने के बाद जब इस विधेयक पर राष्ट्रपति की मुहर लगी तो यह क़ानून बन गया. अब 11 मार्च, 2024 को इस क़ानून को लागू करने के लिए अधिसूचना जारी की गई है. इस क़ानून में पड़ोसी देशों से शरण के लिए भारत आए हिंदू, जैन, बौद्ध, सिख, पारसी और ईसाई समुदाय के लोगों को भारतीय नागरिकता देने का प्रावधान है.
After being passed by both houses of the Parliament, when this bill got the assent of the President, it became a law. Now a notification has been issued to implement this law on March 11, 2024. In this law, there is a provision to give Indian citizenship to people of Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi and Christian communities who have come to India seeking refuge from neighboring countries.
