One Nation, One Farming, One Team: Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is leading the nationwide outreach initiative under the "Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan" (VKSA), which began on May 29, 2025, from Puri, Odisha. This 15-day campaign, concluding on June 12, aims to bridge the gap between agricultural research and field practices.

With the involvement of 16,000 agricultural scientists and 2,170 interdisciplinary teams, the campaign seeks to reach more than 15 million farmers across over 700 districts in India.

"The government is working with the spirit of 'One Nation, One Farming, One Team'. Scientists must step out of laboratories and into the fields. This year’s record production of wheat, rice, soybean, groundnut, and maize is a testament to our collective efforts," said Shri Chouhan.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to transferring technology from the lab to the land, he urged all stakeholders — including state departments, ICAR institutions, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), and farmers — to come together and amplify the impact of VKSA.

He emphasized adaptive research, strong scientist-farmer engagement, and technological empowerment as key strategies to transform Indian agriculture and contribute to a self-reliant, developed India.
