PM MITRA Park Dhar to Be Inaugurated by PM Modi on 25th October
Madhya Pradesh is set to receive two major infrastructural gifts in October. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bhopal Metro and the PM MITRA Park located in Dhar district. The PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park is being developed in Bhaisola village over an area of 2,177 acres based on PM Modi’s 5F vision: Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign.
The infrastructure development of the park will cost around ₹2,050 crore. In the first phase, tenders worth ₹773 crore have already been issued by the central government. The park is considered a landmark project for Madhya Pradesh’s industrial and textile sector growth.
Integrated Textile Operations
This park will facilitate all textile processes — from cotton to yarn, yarn to fabric, and fabric to finished apparel, including cutting, weaving, processing, dyeing, printing, and garment manufacturing — at a single location. This initiative marks a new era for the state’s textile industry. The government has already received investment proposals worth over ₹10,000 crore, with interest from both Indian and international companies.
PM MITRA Park Built on 1563 Acres
The Government of India formally approved the proposal to set up the PM MITRA Park in March 2023. It is being established on 1,563 acres of land in Bhaisola, Badnawar Tehsil, Dhar district. The land is under the control of MPIDC. The park is located 110 km from Indore, 85 km from Pithampur industrial zone, and 50 km from Ratlam. Its main aim is to boost the textile industry and create employment opportunities.
Employment for Lakhs
The PM MITRA Park is expected to generate direct employment for 50,000 people and indirect employment for another 150,000. The park will also benefit tribal areas such as Jhabua and Ratlam. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the project will give a new momentum to Madhya Pradesh’s development and its textile industry.
One of Seven Parks Nationwide
The Government of India has finalized the establishment of PM MITRA Parks in seven states: Tamil Nadu (Virudhunagar), Telangana (Warangal), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), and Maharashtra (Amravati). The initiative aims to attract ₹70,000 crore in investment and generate around 20 lakh jobs across the country.
