PM Vidyalakshmi Scheme will provide admission in 860 higher educational institutions of the country, 7 lakh students benefit every year from guarantor-free loan.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Vidyalakshmi Yojana, education loans will be given to students taking admission in 860 top higher educational institutions of the country. Under this scheme, students will get a credit guarantee of 75% for loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh. Students whose annual family income is up to Rs 8 lakh will be given 3% interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 10 lakh during the loan moratorium period. To avail this scheme, students can apply directly by visiting the online portal vidyalakshmi.co.in. Under this scheme, priority will be given to students choosing technical or vocational courses from government institutions. Under this scheme, interest rebate will be paid through e-vouchers and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) wallet.
