4 September - Pranjali Dhumal won bronze in 25m pistol at World Deaf Shooting Championship.

Pranjali Dhumal won bronze in the women's 25m pistol event at the World Deaf Shooting Championship in Hanover, Germany on 3 September. Pranjali qualified for the final with a deaf world record and championship record score of 571. In the final, Dhumal hit three out of five shots in the eighth series to win the bronze medal and edged Croatia's Lana Skledjia by one point. She finished with 29 points and behind Ukrainian pair Sofia Olenich and Helena Mosina, who won gold and silver respectively. Another Indian shooter Anuya Prasad finished fifth in the final with 21 points after qualifying with 558 points. The third Indian in the competition, Vedika Sharma, finished her qualifying round with 473 points. India has so far won three gold, six silver and four bronze medals in the tournament.
