Preparation to Evacuate Nearly 10,000 Indians from Iran via Armenia Route
Indians stranded due to the Iran-Israel conflict now have a clear evacuation route. Tehran has responded to India's request by stating that despite the closure of Iranian airspace due to Israeli attacks, all land borders remain open for the safe evacuation of civilians.
The Iranian Foreign Minister has approved India’s diplomatic mission to safely evacuate Indian students, stating, "All land borders are open for crossing," to facilitate the evacuation of Indian nationals.
Thousands of Indians trapped in various Iranian cities are demanding a ceasefire between Tehran and Jerusalem so they can be evacuated via airports.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran on May 15 urged stranded Indians not to panic but to exercise caution and maintain contact through the Embassy’s social media accounts. They were also advised to stay alert, avoid unnecessary activities, and follow instructions from local authorities.
Indian Students Injured in Iran
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Chairman of the All Party Hurriyat Conference, expressed concern over reports of an Israeli airstrike on a hostel housing Kashmiri students in Iran, resulting in multiple injuries. Fortunately, the injuries were reported to be minor.
Over 1,300 Kashmiri students studying in Iran are living in fear for their lives, while their families in Jammu & Kashmir are deeply distressed.
