President to Confer Padma Awards on 66 Distinguished Personalities
President Droupadi Murmu will present Padma Awards to 66 distinguished personalities during the first Civil Investiture Ceremony of 2026, scheduled to be held on May 25 at the Ganatantra Mandap in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The awards include 2 Padma Vibhushan, 6 Padma Bhushan, and 58 Padma Shri honors.
The ceremony will be attended by Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other dignitaries.
According to sources, the remaining Padma Awards will be conferred during another ceremony to be held later.
For the year 2026, the President has approved a total of 131 Padma Awards, including 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri awards.
