Shree Anna Procurement to Be Conducted in 11 Districts
In Kharif 2025, approximately 30,000 metric tonnes of Shree Anna will be procured. The government has set the Minimum Support Price (MSP) at ₹3500 per quintal for Kutki and ₹2500 per quintal for Kodo. This decision was made in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on October 14.
This move is a major boost for farmers cultivating Kodo and Kutki, especially tribal farmers. For the first time, procurement of Kodo-Kutki will be done under MSP. The initiative is being carried out under the Rani Durgavati Shree Anna Promotion Scheme.
Procurement Districts
Procurement will be done in the following major producing districts:
- Jabalpur
- Katni
- Mandla
- Dindori
- Chhindwara
- Shahdol
- Anuppur
- Umaria
- Rewa
- Sidhi
- Singrauli
Other districts may also be considered based on demand.
The procurement will be done through the Shree Anna Consortium of Farmer Producer Companies Ltd. (Shree Anna Federation). The federation will receive an interest-free loan of ₹80 crore from the Price Stabilization Fund.
In addition to MSP, farmers will also receive an incentive of ₹1000 per quintal via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to their registered bank accounts.
Soybean Support Under Bhavantar Yojana
The cabinet has also approved the implementation of the Price Deficit Payment Scheme for soybean farmers, also known as the Bhavantar Yojana in the state.
Soybean can be sold at notified mandis from October 24, 2025, to January 15, 2026. The model rate will be calculated based on the weighted average price over 14 days in state mandis. The difference between the MSP (₹5238) and the model rate will be credited to the farmer’s bank account via DBT.
