Raja Hirdeshah Lodhi to be Included in Curriculum; Pilgrimage Site to be Developed at Hirapur

Madhya Pradesh will not only study about Raja Hirdeshah Lodhi but will also witness his life journey. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that Raja Hirdeshah Lodhi will be included in the academic curriculum and a pilgrimage site will be developed in his birthplace, Hirapur.

On the occasion of the 168th death anniversary (Shaurya Diwas) of Raja Hirdeshah Lodhi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid tribute to him. Speaking at an event held on April 28 at Jamboree Ground in Bhopal, he described the day as sacred and emphasized the rarity of human life.

Raja Hirdeshah, also known as the "Narmada Tiger," took a pledge in 1842 to fight against British rule. Along with his brothers, he continued the struggle until 1858 and ultimately sacrificed his life for the independence of the country.

State President of the Lodhi-Lodha community and MLA Jalam Singh Patel stated that Raja Hirdeshah is a source of pride for the Lodhi community. He led the 1842 revolution against British laws, and nearly 12 of his brothers were martyred in this struggle.
