Rajnath Singh Inaugurates BEEML Rail Hub in Raisen
On August 10, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited Raisen, where he laid the foundation stone for the BEEML Rail Hub for Manufacturing Unit (Brahma) at a cost of ₹1800 crore. The initial production capacity of this project will be 125 to 200 rail coaches per year, which will be scaled up to 1100 coaches annually in the next 5 years.
This project will make the state competitive in the global market for high-speed rail and metro construction. Additionally, defense machines will be manufactured under the BEEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) project.
During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, District Minister-in-charge Narayan Singh Panwar, Health Minister of State Narendra Shivaji Patel, Sanchi MLA Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Bhojpur MLA Surendra Patwa, and other key leaders were present.
At the event, a focused short film on the BEEML project, a 3D walkthrough of the proposed plant, and models of the new plant were displayed. The rail coach manufacturing plant will be built on approximately 64 acres in the Umriya village of Raisen district.
