RBI Appoints Sanjay Kumar Hansda and Sonali Sen Gupta as Executive Directors
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently appointed Sanjay Kumar Hansda and Sonali Sen Gupta as Executive Directors.
Sanjay Kumar Hansda has been appointed with effect from March 3, 2025. He will be responsible for overseeing the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR).
Sonali Sen Gupta has been appointed with effect from October 9, 2025. She will lead several departments, including the Consumer Education and Protection Department.
These appointments reflect the RBI’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and advancing key policy areas for India’s financial stability and consumer protection.
