Record GST Collection Crosses ₹2.43 Lakh Crore

India's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection for April 2026 increased by 8.7% to reach a record level of approximately ₹2.43 lakh crore.

Previously, the highest monthly GST collection was recorded in April 2025, which exceeded ₹2.23 lakh crore.

Gross revenue from domestic sales and services rose by 4.3%, crossing ₹1.85 lakh crore, reflecting steady economic activity.
