National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh has released a notification for the recruitment of Community Health Officer (CHO). More than 7,000 posts of Community Health Officer will be filled under this recruitment drive. Eligible candidates can apply for these vacancies on the official website upnrhm.gov.in. till November 17, 2024.
Vacancy Details
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 7401 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO). Earlier, UP NHM had notified a total of 5582 CHO vacancies, for which the application process ran from January 29 to February 7, 2024. The official notice states that the advertisement number published earlier for the recruitment of 5582 contractual Community Health Officers (CHOs) under the National Health Mission, UP: will be included in this recruitment process on the basis of the same documents. Such candidates do not need to apply again. But the desired amendment can be made in the application made earlier by such a candidate.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed BSc (Nursing) or Post Basic BSc (Nursing) course with integrated course of Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council from the academic year 2020 will be eligible to apply.
Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as on 17 November 2024. The upper age limit will be relaxed for reserved category candidates.
Salary Details
The selected CHO will be appointed on contractual basis at sub-centre level Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs). The post will carry a monthly honorarium of Rs 25,000. Apart from this, performance-based incentives up to Rs 10,000 per month will also be given based on the appointment and performance in the district.
Selection Process
The selection process for the UP NHM CHO post includes two stages:
Computer-Based Test (CBT): Candidates will appear for the CBT, where a merit list will be prepared based on their scores.
Document Verification Process (DVP): Those shortlisted after the CBT will be called for DVP, where they will have to submit valid documents to confirm eligibility. Successfully verified candidates will have to undergo a medical examination as the final step before appointment.
