Rocket scientist V. Narayanan has been appointed as the new Chairman of ISRO. He will assume office on January 14. Narayanan said he feels fortunate to be a part of the organization. Renowned rocket scientist V. Narayanan has been appointed as the new Chairman of ISRO. As the head of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), he will replace S. Somanath.

Narayanan has played a significant role in the development of cryogenic engines. He will assume his new position on January 14. He said that the space agency is going through a successful phase and in the coming days, it will handle major missions like Chandrayaan-4 and Gaganyaan.

Expressing his delight at his new term as Secretary of the Space Department and Chairman of ISRO, Narayanan said that he feels fortunate to be part of the organization. He was informed about the new appointment first by the Prime Minister's Office. The Prime Minister is overseeing everything.

Narayanan stated that this is a major responsibility given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ISRO has contributed significantly to every sector of the country since 1969. Great scientists like Vikram Sarabhai, U. R. Rao, K. Kasturirangan, K. Radhakrishnan, K. Sivan, and S. Somanath have led the organization. Narayanan is confident that, along with the scientists and management staff at ISRO, they will contribute significantly to making India a developed nation by the 100th year of independence.
