Sagar to Offer Land at ₹1 Lease Rent and ₹1 Premium for Industries

The Madhya Pradesh government has approved a special industrial incentive package to boost industrial activities in the Bundelkhand region. The package has been introduced for a period of five years and will offer land in the Maswasi Grant Industrial Area in Sagar district at a lease rent of ₹1 per square meter annually and ₹1 per square meter as a premium.

Development fees will be paid in 20 equal installments instead of a lump sum, and maintenance fees will be ₹8 per square meter annually. A 100% exemption will be provided on stamp duty and registration fees. Additionally, electricity charges will be waived for the first five years of production. This financial assistance package is available for all industries except cement manufacturing units.

The Sagar-Damoh road will be constructed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) with paved shoulders, spanning 76.68 kilometers. The total cost for the construction of this four-lane road, which includes three underpasses, three large bridges, nine medium bridges, one ROB, and numerous junctions, has been approved by the Cabinet. The total cost is ₹2059.85 crores, with the state highway fund and MP Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) covering 40% of the cost, while 60% will be allocated through the state budget over a period of 15 years as annuity payments.
