Sampada 2.0 Earns National E‑Governance Award
Madhya Pradesh is carving out a new identity in Digital Transformation and Good Governance. With its push toward paperless and faceless registration, property registration across the state has become fully digital. In recognition of these efforts, the Government of India has honored Sampada 2.0 with an e‑Governance Award.
Specifically, Sampada 2.0 was bestowed with the National E‑Governance Gold Award 2025 under the category “Government Process Re‑Engineering by Use of Technology for Digital Transformation.” Last year, the state had also won a national e‑governance award in the “Last Mile Connectivity” category for exemplary work.
National Conference & Award Presentation
The award was presented during the National Conference on e‑Governance held in Vishakhapatnam. Union Minister of State for Science & Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh and Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, V. Srinivas, handed over the award to Madhya Pradesh. The state’s Registration Inspector General Amit Tomar and Project Officer Swapnesh Sharma received the honor on behalf of the state.
Why the Award Is Historic
Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda called this achievement historic for the state. He noted that Sampada 2.0 has made property and document registration completely paperless and faceless, allowing citizens to register documents safely and easily without visiting any office. This has also enhanced transparency and efficiency.
Madhya Pradesh is the first state in India to begin fully paperless e‑registration of documents. Of around 140 types of documents under the Indian Stamp Act, 75 types are now registered facelessly using video KYC. This process is also helping reduce fraud and land disputes.
Technologies & Features in Sampada 2.0
Sampada 2.0 offers modern digital features including GIS technology. Citizens throughout MP can obtain e‑stamps from www.sampada.mpigr.gov.in or via the mobile app, view guideline rates for any area instantly, and receive documents via email or WhatsApp immediately after registration is complete.
