Shiv Nadar Tops India's Philanthropy List Again in 2025

According to the AdelGive-Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025, HCL Tech founder Shiv Nadar has once again emerged as India's top philanthropist. Over the past year, he donated an average of ₹7.4 crore daily, totaling ₹2,708 crore for the year.

The list shows that 191 wealthy Indians donated a combined ₹10,380 crore last year. Mukesh Ambani of Reliance secured the second spot, while the Bajaj Group ranked third. Adani came in fifth.

The list also highlights 24 women philanthropists. Leading among them is Rohini Nilekani, wife of Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, who donated ₹204 crore. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, founder of Biocon, donated ₹83 crore, ranking second among women.

Among the youngest philanthropists, Nikhil Kamat (39) and Nitin Kamat (46) of Zerodha topped the list with ₹147 crore donated, followed by Binny Bansal (42) with ₹18 crore.
