Shiva Narwal Wins Gold at ISSF Junior World Cup; India Secures Multiple Medals
India’s top shooter Shiva Narwal made a शानदार return to the international stage by winning the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF Junior World Cup (Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun).
Fellow Indian shooter Chirag Sharma secured the bronze medal in the same event, adding to India’s medal tally.
Men’s 10m Air Pistol Results
Narwal scored 241.8 points in the final to clinch the gold medal. He outperformed Uzbekistan’s Sadikjon Abdullaev, who won silver, by a margin of 1.8 points.
Chirag Sharma finished third with 218.9 points, while another Indian shooter Abhinav Deshwal secured the seventh position with 136.7 points.
Women’s 10m Air Rifle Highlights
In the women’s 10m air rifle event, Panah Bhugra won the silver medal, taking India’s total medal count to three on the opening day.
Bhugra had earlier qualified for the final with a score of 629.4 and maintained consistent performance to finish with 250.6 points.
France’s Enceline Brackmann won the gold medal with 252.0 points, while her compatriot Helena Ecale secured bronze with 228.6 points.
Other Indian Performances
Shambhavi Kshirsagar, who topped the qualification round with 634.0 points, finished fourth in the final.
Anvi Rathod secured the sixth position in the final standings.
Another Indian shooter, Manyata Singh, scored 628.3 points in qualification but could not reach the final due to the rule allowing a maximum of three shooters per country in the final round.
