Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Book ‘Apnapan’ Focuses on PM Modi’s Karmayogi Personality
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to appear as an author with his upcoming book titled ‘Apnapan’. The book captures his experiences of working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for more than three decades.
The book will be officially launched on May 26 at the Pusa Campus in New Delhi. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda will attend the launch event.
A Personal Perspective on Narendra Modi
According to Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the book is not just a political memoir. It is a detailed account written from the perspective of a close associate who witnessed Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, work culture, organizational abilities, and vision for nation-building from close quarters.
Chouhan said that while the world recognizes Narendra Modi as a decisive leader, he personally experienced him as a dedicated seeker and a true karmayogi.
The Journey Begins with the 1991 Ekta Yatra
The story of ‘Apnapan’ begins with the historic Ekta Yatra of 1991, when both leaders were active as party workers within the organization.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan recalled that many people viewed the journey merely as a political program, but Narendra Modi transformed it into a mission of national awakening. The objective was not only to hoist the Indian flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar, but also to inspire patriotism and national pride among the youth.
Three Decades of Shared Political Experience
Chouhan stated that during that period, he realized leadership is not built solely through speeches. According to him, true leadership emerges from discipline, dedication, sacrifice, and a sense of belonging.
The book has been published by Prabhat Prakashan. It also discusses Prime Minister Modi’s crisis management during the COVID-19 pandemic in detail.
Along with Modi’s political personality, the book also highlights his humane and compassionate side.

In recent years, several books have been written about Narendra Modi’s leadership and governance model. However, the uniqueness of ‘Apnapan’ lies in the fact that it has been written by a leader who worked closely with him in organization, government, and politics for many years.
