Smriti Mandhana and Jasprit Bumrah's 2024 Cricket Achievements

In the 2025 edition of the prestigious Wisden Cricketers' Almanack, Indian cricketers Smriti Mandhana and Jasprit Bumrah were honored for their exceptional performances in 2024.

Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana was named the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024. She scored a record-breaking 1659 international runs in the year, including four centuries in One Day Internationals and 763 runs in T20 Internationals. Her remarkable performances led India to a 3-0 series win against South Africa, with individual scores of 117, 136, and 90 runs in three matches, setting a record for the highest aggregate in a bilateral series. She also scored 149 runs in a Test match against South Africa.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah was named the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2024. He took 86 wickets in 21 matches across formats, with an average of 13.76. His standout performances included leading India to their second T20 World Cup title in the West Indies, where he was named Player of the Tournament for his 15 wickets at an average of 8.26. In Test cricket, he claimed 71 wickets in 13 matches, with an average of 14.92, making him the leading wicket-taker in the format for the year. His remarkable consistency and match-winning abilities earned him recognition as the defining factor in India's cricket success during 2024.
