Supreme Court Appoints Four Former Judges as Senior Advocates
The Supreme Court of India issued a notification appointing four former judges of High Courts as Senior Advocates. Among them are two former Chief Justices. The notification, issued on 10th December, stated, "In the Full Court meeting on 10th December, the Chief Justice of India and the judges of the Supreme Court appointed four former Chief Justices/ Judges of High Courts as Senior Advocates with effect from 10th December 2025."
The former judges appointed as Senior Advocates include:
- Pawan Kumar B. Bajenthri, former Chief Justice of Patna High Court
- T.S. Shivajnanam, former Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court
- Abhinand Kumar Shavli, former Judge of Telangana High Court
- Satyendra Singh Chauhan, former Judge of Allahabad High Court
