Swachh Bharat Mission - Reels Competition for Cleanliness Awareness
On March 14, the Panchayat and Rural Development Department of Madhya Pradesh launched a unique initiative under the Swachh Bharat Mission to raise awareness about cleanliness among rural communities. The department has introduced a "Make Reels, Win Lakhs" competition. The competition, themed "No Waste, This is Gold," invites participants to create reels on cleanliness and make them go viral.
The main objective of this competition is to increase rural participation in the safe disposal of waste and to raise awareness of the three primary habits for proper waste management. The competition will be held until April 15, and prizes will be announced at the headquarters level thereafter. The first prize will be ₹2 lakh. The competition started on February 25, and so far, over 20 reels have been created in Indore district. The district panchayat is also informing students, villagers, and the general public about the competition through visits to schools, colleges, and panchayats. Additionally, social media influencers are being involved to assist with creating the reels. At least 5 reels from each district will be sent to the headquarters.
