India conducted its first multinational air exercise 'Tarang Shakti 2024' in Sular, Tamil Nadu. About 30 countries participated in this exercise and ten out of 30 countries joined the exercise with their fighter aircraft. The exercise has been conducted in two phases, aimed at showcasing India's defense capability and providing a platform to the participating armies to promote interoperability. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Air Force Deputy Chief Air Marshal AP Singh said that the first phase will be held from August 6 to August 14 at Sular in Tamil Nadu and the second phase from August 29 to September 14 at Jodhpur in Rajasthan. He said that 10 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Greece, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, US and Singapore will join the exercise with their aircraft and 18 countries will participate as observers. Air Marshal AP Singh said that India will showcase its indigenous fighter aircraft and equipment. He said that India's fighter aircraft Tejas, Rafale, Mirage 2000, Jaguar, Mig 29 aircraft and others will be involved in this exercise. AIR correspondent said that flying and ground training, defense exhibition and cultural exchange programs will also be organized during the exercise. Defense personnel of participating countries will also visit Indian technical companies. India had invited more than 50 countries to participate in the exercise.
